Role Expectations
All Captains and Assistant Captains are expected to go to the Pacific Southwest Symposium (PSWS) the regional 3 day culmination of all ASCE projects. If we move on the next step would be nationals. PSWS usually takes place in early April around week 1 of the Spring Quarter.
The board is expected to help fundraising and sponsorship for the club immediately after being selected, then usually at the start of July is where the design sub-teams start designing. While rules are released in October, we will be able to quickly change designs for those constraints especially if our research is extensive over the summer. All Captains and Assitant Captain positions are expected to display passion and respect for the project. We need everyone to communicate well and often with PMs and relevant board members and understand that the team is striving to be much more competitive this upcoming PSWS. Please Refer to team rules on the “ Team: Overview” page for general rules and expectations.
Below are more specific descriptions of requirements we are looking for in each captain role AND in the "Team" page there are subpages with each sub-team's description.
