PSWS
The Pacific Southwest Symposium is the regional culmination of all American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE) competitions, where each college in the region compete over a 3 day long event. Concrete Canoe is the largest competition at the event and included in scoring are reports due before the event, a display, 5 minute presentation in front of judges, and 5 types of races. The event is normally held from Thursday to Saturday around week 1 of the Spring Quarter, where we work with UCI's ASCE chapter to coordinate transportation and housing. This upcoming year it will be held at CSU San Marcos.
